Use the PSP as an Xbox 360 controller, it was done for the PS3, why not X360, specially with that awful D-pad the 360 controller has.
The X360 controller is made for shooters, no point in using it there, besides psp has no second analog stick.
But I think it would be awesome for fighting games, specially the psp slim.
This mostly because I don't want to buy new controllers just for the new D-pad
