Basically, if you have some games that you bought before your flash cart, or you want to be able to play your games on the computer with your save file, you can load it on your DS and then put the game of your choice in slot 1, and save the gamefile from the game cart to the flash cart... It even has built in support for the M3 DAT save files, so like for example, I just used it to take my MarioKart savegame from the cartridge so I can play it without having to use the actual cart...

You mention playing the games on the Computer. How do you do this, Is there a working DS emulator?

There are several ds emulators available for the pc, but none of them have 100% compatibility with .nds files. Try http://www.ndsemulator.com/ they have several you can try, with varying results.

i didnt know whether to bump this or make a new topic so ill go with a bump

Rein could easily support slot-1 cards with hotswapping, the ds has enough ram to hold the 256k save and run rein, do you think he will ever release a with build slot-1 support?

Odds are he won't release anything anytime soon. See here (http://www.dev-scene.com/NDSNews:2007-01-02_-_Sata_leaves_NDS_Homebrew).

It's too bad really, I was hoping to back up some saves from my original game carts (the only hardware I have is an M3 Simply). Unfortunately, I haven't found any solutions to this dilemma. Hopefully someone will continue where Sata left off and release a save game manager w/ slot 1 support.

If anyone knows otherwise please let me know!
