Heres an excerpt:

Millions of gamers have grown up hating Tingle, Link's good-for-nothing side kick who loves money and maps. But calls for the death of this character were replied with, shockers, Nintendo awarding him his very on DS game. So would the greedy pest pull through and be part of a Nintendo classic, or was turning a universally hated character into a gaming star a bad idea?

It shouldn't come as a surprise given that it's a Nintendo game and all, but with Tingle RPG (fully titled, in Japan, Mogitate Tingle no Bara Iro Rupee Land), Nintendo seems to have once again worked its magic. Tingle's first appearance as a main character is such a unique title that I was immediately reminded of the genre bustin' Nintendo did when it put Wario in a mini game collection a few years back.

Tingle RPG explains the origins of the Tingle character. One day, the 35-year-old nameless main character is awakened by the voice of the mysterious Grandfather Rupee. He learns that to get to the heaven of "Rupee Land," he must feed rupees to a spring near his house. As rupees are fed to it, a tower will grow from beneath the spring, leading to Rupee Land. Grandfather Rupee turns the main character into Tingle. From here on out, Tingle will have to collect rupees to feed to the growing tower.
