Mario's birthday is this month, and to celebrate the event Nintendo is releasing two DS games featuring the tubby little plumber. The first is Mario Hoops 3-on-3, a DS game which lets you use the stylus to pull off special passes and different dribble moves. You can expect unlockable characters and courts, as well as plenty of stars and turtle shells.
The second game is Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This sequel features the first return of Pauline, the original heroine from the first Donkey Kong. It's up to a group of mini Mario toys to save her from the kidnap-happy ape. The game also allows you to design your own levels and share them online. Mario Hoops 3-on-3 is due out on September 13, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis is scheduled for release on September 27.
