I had no idea this thing even existed - maybe you did. But even so, this ebay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Portable-CD-I-IVO-V11-Intelligent-Discman-Rare-NR_W0QQitemZ140025006291QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3284QQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem) (the seller had better thank me, it only had 130 views before I linked it) has some great, absolutely humongous pictures of the unit from multiple angles. It's a mini CD-I with a screen (Sony had a part in the system's creation, after all), controller port, and really odd controls on the top of the lid. Definitely a cool piece of history (fullly named, the Sony Portable CD-I IVO-V11 Intelligent Discman), and one you likely won't see again for some time. Hope somebody saves those pictures somewhere!

Now if only Sony would make a PSP Version with Bigger screen etc ??

do these work?

I had no idea they made a portable of this ^^, or know idea why lol. I actually own the original console version along with the zelda games for it (im not a zelda collector, i just happened to get them when i was roughly 10 years old :D )

the console version came out roughly around the same time as snes, and actually had a wireless controller, i sent a pic ;)

Can they make an emulator for psp?

Yes...I had that console once too...I remember having NBA Playoffs Bulls vs. Blazers, Lemmings, Where in the world is Carmen SanDiego and Sim City on it...The other games I had were educational, my favourite was the music one....you could play 5 different types of drum sets along with your CD's music...that was pretty cool for the time...

I remember I sold this to one of my old neighbors, so I could buy my car some rims...I'm just finding out there was a portable on this...weird.

there isnt even a decent emulator of it for pc, so psp is impossible, there is an extreme lack of documentation for it

Either way, it wasn't worth the money it sold for. Its not as rare as people think.

From the emulator's page:

"A reasonably fast PC is needed to get acceptable performance; a Pentium 1.5 GHz is probably about minimal."

Kinda reminds me of the Sega CDX...

I purchased mine for $399 when it came out and sold it like 6 months later for $200 =(
