Here (http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/serendipity/index.php?/archives/94-Looking-for-Graphic-designer-for-various-emulator-ports.html) is what he said:

Hi All,

I'm working now to improve all emulators i've already ported, and to make them look better, we need good background and icons / images.

So, if someone wants to help me on this task, please send me an email to zx81.zx81(at)gmail.com http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/serendipity/templates/default/img/emoticons/smile.png

Emulators i'm working on are :

PSP Beeb (BBC Micro emulator)
PSP Colem (ColecoVision emulator)
PSP Int (Intellivision emulator)
PSP Msx (MSX emulator)
PSP Sim (Sam coupé emulator)

For each of them we need a small icon (144 x 80) :

A big icon (480x272) :

And background image, used in the emulator menu :

Thanks, http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/serendipity/templates/default/img/emoticons/smile.png

Zx.

Hmmm... I've been known to dabble with Photoshop from time to time. I may try my hand at some prototype graphics and post them for feedback. zx-81 has contributed so much it would be the least that I could do.

(this is related to the emulators, but not to artwork)

ZX, I just woke up and saw this post.

it's good to see you doing things ... ;)

I had an idea that I had to tell you...what if you made one emulator with all of them included?

I always liked the MAME or Mess approach (one program for everything, only one program to test, to apply improvements to, and only one to download, and have), even if that meant some speed or memory loses.

I know the PSP is different from a pc in terms of power, and many times it's better to make an independent emu (GBA, N64, probably it's better to separate them) but for small machines I trully believe it's best to have one emu that emulates all.

All these great emus of yours already have many things in common. Why don't you put them all under one emu? a kind of a launcher.

I know there's already one guy on the psp doing it (with e[mulator]) and I think it's a great idea.

next time, instead of downloading the msx emulator, I could download the next version of the ZX81mulators... ;)

Evil - shadowlink is my suggestion. He's the man when it comes to gfx. Here is his eboot icon thread:

Oh, and punkypine's comment got me thinking. Are there any good wallpaper making apps (PC based)? I think "Background Creator" leaves alot to be desired.

And punky you shouldn't be negetive about anybody who is doing their best to contribute to the scene. That is frowned upon here @ psp-news.

Yes. That could discourage someone who is really good from posting anything out of fear of being put down. Then we all miss out.

It won't fit in PSP memory ... and btw each emulator are very different, and it will be a nightmare to try to put them together ...

That's the problem, the PSP is not too fast, so every CPU percent has not to be lost, even for old console emulation ...

lol :D :D :D

 What a rude thing to say. Shadow is a damn good artist. If your so great where's your release thread? Oh, you don't have one? Why don't you just shut your mouth, and be grateful for everything everybody is sharing.
