Hi PalGN community,
My 3 year old, 60GB launch PS3 just yellow-lighted of death on me.
It's definitely out of warranty, so I believe I have 2 choices of replacing it.

I can either get it replaced by Sony for $315 (EDIT: $250) or buy a new one.
So here's my question.

Have you had your PS3 replaced? And if so, was it replaced with a new one or a refurb.
Because if I'm playing $315 for a refurb, I might as well just pay the extra for a new one.
Also, will the refurb be a slim?

Thanks!

Actually, JailBreak isn't out dated... Because there is currently no homebrew capability for the current firmware (3.56), meaning a JailBreak update could be around one of many corners in the near future (if no custom firmware is released).
