News via http://streetskaterfu.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-ban-any-user.html

While I read about the big ban tsunami and interesting papers like:

I gone through a funny theory, I won't publish any details tho:

2) We can modify all traffic sent and received by the PlayStation3

What if some skiddies start to modify their sent traffic to appear as another user and use backups?

The PSN servers would recognize the TOS violation and check the online user database for known connections based on the ID's. The user and his consoles who really owns the ID's would be banned.

Even a simple Windows application which goes through ALL ID's may be possible. 24 hours and any console worldwide would be banned.

This should definitely be double-checked by SONY.

Interesting stuff to hear, now where could I find that tool in the screenshot to test that theory? Just out of interest btw.

Why do you want that ? Its cruel and heartless things to do. Its not very nice. This program is wrong and again, its cruel!!!

Joking, just joking - okay I guess I came arcross the wrong way but seriously I wouldn't have any intention to ban someone's machine. Need to know console IDs beforehand.

The only thing that would come out of this is for every PSN account not being allowed onto PSN. What exactly would Sony do then? I'm curious to see what would happen, but there's no way in hell that I'd stoop that low to test this theory.

I want to try this tool, to see what I can do with my 60GB console.
