No word on whether Steve Jobs will present the new tablet

The official iPad 2 unveiling will take place on March 2, it has been confirmed.
There is good evidence to suggest the iPad 2 will be lighter and thinner, with a front-facing camera and a Qualcomm chip.
Thanks to Apple fanatics around the globe we know about host of features which iPad 2 mighthave, ranging from retina display to an ultra-fast ‘thunderbolt’ data transfer port.
A Reuters source has also rubbished claims the forthcoming tablet was experiencing production problems (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/22/apple-ipad-idUSN2227848020110222). The Apple insider told the media agency that the Taiwanese research company was wrong. The iPad 2 is expected to reach retail by April.
Apple have released a teaser image with date and the tagline “come see what 2011 will be the year of” – an upfront response to industry theory that the new iPad will lose sales to other tablets due for launch this year.

The launch will take place at the Yerba Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10:00am Pacific time.
