Both Wedbush's Michael Pachter and fellow analyst outfit EEDAR expect Xbox 360 to top the hardware sales chart for the second month running (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/289609/news/npd-xbox-360-tops-console-sales-in-january/), with DS, Wii and PS3 battling it out for second place.

On the software front, Pachter forecast monthly sales of $595 million, down six percent compared to last year's $634 million and representing a third consecutive month of decline.

Top selling games are expected to be Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Killzone 3, backed up by continued solid sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Wii Fit Plus and Just Dance 2.

Wedbush / EEDAR February sales estimates (change year-on-year):
360 - 385,000 (-9%) / 400,000 (-5%)
DS - 300,000 (-51%) / 330,000 (-46%)
