News from the DS-xtreme Website (http://www.ds-x.com/):

After extreme pressure and countless mails from our fast growing fan base, media, and resellers alike, we have decided to let you all have a pre-release "sneak peak" at the new DS-Xtreme.

The hysteria and anticipation for our product is incredibly overwhelming and persistent requests from websites, eager to please their readers forced us to reluctantly agree on rushing out preview units to a limited number of media.

Our only condition is that these units are not to be seen as "official review" units as those have yet to be released and will be sent out to many more sites for full reviews.

You can preorder this latest new flashcart for the Nintendo DS from Divineo Spain (http://www.divineo.es/php/affstart.php?affcode=arboretum&prod=nds-dsx), Divineo Germany (http://www.divineo.de/php/affstart.php?affcode=arboretum&prod=nds-dsex), Divineo USA (http://www.divineo.com/php/affstart.php?affcode=arboretum&prod=dd-ds-dsxt4), Divineo China (http://www.divineo.cn/php/affstart.php?affcode=arboretum&prod=nds-dsxt4), Divineo UK (http://www.divineo.co.uk/php/affstart.php?affcode=arboretum&prod=ds-extreme)

In eu.mod-chip.com is costs 104€ (around 132$) including the cheapest shipping ,
that's too much for it's value.

That DS-Xtreme card's memory is sized as 4096Mbit (~500MB free space). That is not much at all.
For comparison:
- the biggest nds game that i know is sized as 1024Mbit (128MB)
- avarage MP3 music files are 56Mbit (7MB)
- full lenght movie (1h 30min) encoded to DPG is 2000-2400Mbit (250-300MB)
As you can calculate, that space is not enough for anything big like music or movies.
Maybe they will release 8192Mbit (1GB) model later?
I wonder why they didn't also develope Micro SD card adapter.

I will go with the cheaper DS Link or wait for M3 device, or something cheaper Micro SD card adapter.
In my country 2GB Micro SD cards are atm 90€ including shipping, but the price is going down fast (the 2GB Mini SD card for example started from 150€ and now they only costs 50€).

ill probably go for one of these purely for games and homebrew stuff etc.

and get a supercard lite to put my 2GB mem card in to store movies and music.

would be a nice little combination i guess. just need to get my paycheque first lol.
