The Nintendo 3DS price war ramped up this morning after supermarket Morrisons listed the handheld for an eye-catching £187.
It is the latest price drop in a retailer scramble that can only benefit consumers.
Morrisons' Nintendo 3DS price (http://www.morrisons.co.uk/Family-Life/Entertainment/Nintendo-3DS/), spotted by Official Nintendo Magazine (http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/24501/nintendo-3ds-price-drops-to-pound187-at-morrisons/), is the cheapest available.
To get it for £187, though, you have to pre-order – and hand over a £10 deposit.
"Nintendo 3DS consoles are available to collect in store from the 25th March," the supermarket said.
"All pre-order consoles must be collected by Thursday the 31st March, after which your order will be cancelled and your deposit refunded. A £10 deposit is required when pre-ordering the Nintendo 3DS."
UK shops are scrambling to get your business in what is expected to be the biggest game console launch ever.
Shop GAME (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-22-games-GBP190-nintendo-3ds-trade-in-price) will give you a trade-in price of £190 on the £196.99 Nintendo 3DS if you bring it back within a month of buying it.
If you want to trade for cash, you'll get £180 – effectively meaning the Nintendo 3DS, which goes on sale on 25th March, costs £17 to rent for a month from GAME.
Will a shop dare to go below £187?
