While Kinect is getting all the 'big sales' headlines (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/285973/news/kinect-is-the-fastest-selling-consumer-electronics-device-in-history-microsoft/) in the West, PlayStation Move is comfortably outselling Microsoft's peripheral in Japan.
According to Media Create data (via Andriasang), Kinect had sold 90,000 units in Japan as of January 2, while Move had shifted 170,000. Both figures include units sold as part of console bundles.

According to Japanese publisher Enterbrain, Sony platforms outsold their Nintendo and Microsoft rivals (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/296548/news/sony-platforms-on-top-in-japan-in-2010/) in Japan during the business year just ended.
