The Engineering Human-Computer Interaction (http://iihm.imag.fr/en/) (EHCI) research group has created an apparent 3D effect on the iPad 2 (http://www.tuaw.com/2011/04/11/ipad-2-gets-glasses-free-3d-display-using-front-facing-camera-fo/).
