So how come it is this ad, which SOMEHOW gets around my ad-block+, is allowed to exist on this site?

That's a Google ad, we don't have direct control over it, we can only report it to Google

How is it? I'm thinking about getting either a HTC-series droid or a Sony Ericsson Xperia (playstation phone; assuming it'll be in the states) in another six months... :)

Loving it so far ( had it for about 6 months) its my first smart phone so hard for me to compare. Only main problem is the battery, which is fine if you are just phonint and a little lite surfing, but run to many apps ( and leave them running) and the battery will be dead in a day.
