Homebrew's dried up a bit on Ps3 lately hasn't it? Everyone was expecting Geohot to beat Sony then there'd be this explosion of homebrew as everyone felt safe to do it.
Well...
I guess i can prepare to file away my Ps3 with my Xbox 1 & Psp in the dead homebrew scene drawer, plus i think i'll file away an IOU in there for the Xperia Play(which i don't own) because i can guarantee poor sales and all the games for it will dry up within a year.

Of course, Graf_Chokolo is still fighting Sony tooth and nail, and Geohot actually donated the rest of his donated funds to the EFF..

still, shocking that Geohot threw in the towel, despite the support.. and why neither person has made it yet to major news (FOX News, CNN, G4, MSNBC, local news, etc) is beyond me..

oh yeah, isn't the Xperia Play supposed to be Android based? If so, there's still hope for homebrew on there... and if Sony wants to fight it, tough luck, as Android was set out to be about open source and open development and they should've kept that in mind in the first place when deciding on a platform.

2 problems i see with Xperia Play. Bad sales will see all the original games made specifically for it dry up, and the physical controls on it mean nothing unless the Android emulators get converted for it, and again depending on sales will anyone bother?

Almost all but the dying screams of Daedalus.
