E3 2011: Gameplay video and info for Terminal Reality’s Jedi title unleashed
Microsoft has unveiled the first gameplay video and game details for Terminal Reality’s upcoming Star Wars Kinect title, preempting the company’s E3 conference this afternoon.
Set for a Christmas 2011 release, EW.com is reporting that the game will feature content drawn from all six of the epic sci-fi franchise films. Series locations and characters will appear, as well as a ‘Jedi Destiny’ campaign mode that allows one to two players to play through a unique story within the Star Wars universe.
A voice command function has also been confirmed, but Microsoft has not specified how it will work.
"What we found early in development is that [no one wants] to look like 'Star Wars kid' in front of [their] friends," said Craig Derrick, LucasArts' lead producer on the project.
"If I am doing these actions, and if I am seeing the character on screen repeating those actions, I want to look bad-ass. We decided to augment the animation, so when I sweep my hand right to left with my lightsaber, it's going to look cool. That was a major challenge and it works."
