10 Things I hate about the PS3

1) The PlayStation 3 costs too much!!!
2) The specs for the PS3 keep changing, no HDMI support for the $499 version.
3) Conversely, not many people have High Definition televisions yet. Isn't it a bit early to start pushing so hard for a technology most can't afford?
4) No "shock" in my Dual Shock. Is cheesy tilt-sensing worth the loss of force-feedback?
5) Sony says they won't have enough consoles to ship for launch. Only 500,000, they say.
6) Sony is putting way too many figurative eggs in their metaphorical Blu-Ray basket. End users don't really care about formats so long as they work.
7) Developers say that the PlayStation 3 is difficult to work with or that the Cell processor is a pain to program for.
8) The PS3 launch library is pretty slim, only 13 titles or so.
9) Where's the innovation? Xbox and Nintendo are trying new things and the PS3 seems like "Just another PlayStation."
10) Why is Sony staying so quiet about the PS3 if this huge new system is going to be launching in 2 months? Where are the ads and the hands-on reports? Are they hiding something? I've fallen and I can't get up!

i dont care, i have i def. price don't matter to me, but what matter to me is that they had took out the vibrating function, blegh!

They bring up some good points but one or two things in it's favor are:
A blue ray player costs $1000
It will use linux and support homebrew, which opens the door to us doing a lot of things with it.
I never really cared for rumble features,just didn't matter to me.
I guess with the high definition stuff they're just trying to provide a market push,maybe to sell some of their HDTV sets
The luanch library is a bit unimpressive though.
I have to disagree with it just being another playstation though,it will have a fully featured operating system.
Right about them not marketing it enough, this may be a bad move.Maybe they're trying to buy some time,I dunno

Ya gotta remeber thought that while the ability for homebrew is there,there will be no access to the official SDK for homebrew developers.
If homebrew could use the SDK there would be no need for game companies to pay for a licsense.

Totally AGREE. Sony is a brand that always thinks it will be on the top, doing whatever is wants. The arrogancy that is behaving with is simply annoying.

I don't like Sony after such instinces like:
Bleem! and Bleemcast!
the whole firmware crap
their products can be broken easily
they think they're so much better than everyone else

I do own a slim PS2 (my first one broke) and a PSP. My PS2 doesn't get played much anymore and the only good reason to own a PSP is for homebrew.

I saw something like that in the past. Let me think. Oh yea xbox and it wasent that great. If not for its emulation capabilitys it would have never survive. Just look at the 360:eek:

not for ecuadorian people, lol, i went there and wanted to buy the modchip, i ask the person who sells them, and i also knew that he install them, he got pissed when i asked him for the modchip and for the price, he didn't sold it to me, and his cold look scared me, so i walked away:mad:

Thing is, all of the consoles would go through the test of time to decide which one dominant. If I'm not mistaken PS2 just achieved dominant after 2/3 years in the market.

Btw, here all 360 was mod-chipped and can play pirated copies. I think they cost about US$500 or so for 1 controller and 10 games.. I'm not too intrested in 360 since they're still lack of Japanese developers support. I wanna see likes Namco, Sega, Konami, Square, or Capcom games on it.

I agree with 1 thru to 6. I dont know enuf about how hard it is to develop games for the ps3 and their 'great' cell processor.
I cant quite remember how many games were launched at the same time as the 360 but it was around that figure so u have to give it some credit.
I agree with 9 & 10, they need to start thinking of new ideas and no doubt im sure they will come up with somethings. & the 360 was advertised loads, i think that helped hugely with getting more interest.
The ps3 already has a huge amount of interest in it without having to advertise, but the majority of ppl wud like to see a demo or 2 on the tv, just to see exactly what it is like.

yeah the eyetoy is cool, saw it on E3, i want to play yu-gi-oh on ps3 with my own cards! he he, if they make one.............
