Xonoblade Chronicles, the much-request JRPG Nintendo has currently only released in Japan, will "definitely" arrive in shops in North America.

That's according to Destructoid, who reports that a Nintendo customer services rep has confirmed and re-confirmed as much. Although this doesn't server as official confirmation, the rep also reportedly revealed that the US version will go by the name 'Monado: Beginning of the World' - its original title before it was changed to Xenoblade.

The title released in Japan in June last year, wowing JRPG fans with its vast and detailed worlds, but Western gamers hungry for more classic Square action on Wii had been left in the dark until recently.

Nintendo confirmed that it will publish game in UK "later this year" in a vague press release in March, but said nothing of the game at E3 earlier this month, or of the chances of a US release.

The game will land in UK stores "later this year" complete with both English and, for the JRPG purist, Japanese voice overs. Subtitles in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish will also feature for our European friends.

Nintendo is yet to officially confirm the game for a US release.
