Claims that members of disbanded hacking group have rejoined Anonymous' collective
Anonymous, the hacking group that started off the wave of cyber terror that has dogged the headlines this year, has signalled its intentions to pick up from where the abandoned LulzSec movement left off.
LulzSec announced at the weekend that its 50 day digital assault was over.
However, speaking via Twitter Anonymous soon cut short the celebrations.
"We like to clarify again: All LulzSec members are accounted for, nobody is hiding. Only a name was abandoned for the greater glory."
It's widely believed that LulzSec was formed by a group of individuals including the convicted Ryan Cleary who had abandoned Anonymous after strategic disagreements.
However, the fragmented nature of hacker communities means it's highly possible that those who once turned their back on Anonymous would now warmly embrace it.
