View Full Version : Sega leads Japanese publisher rankings

The latest monthly sales report for Japan has shown Sega as the highest earning publisher in June, thanks largely to the popularity of the Yakuza series.

Sega accounted for 20.9 percent of earnings with Yakuza: Of the End selling a total of 376,000 units. Zelda Ocarina of time 3D contributed significantly to Nintendo's performance and it came in at No.2 with a 14.8 percent share of revenues.

Sega and Nintendo were followed by Professor Layton developer Level-5 with 9.1 percent and Namco Bandai Games with 8.6 percent. Further down the rankings, Capcom and Konami came in at No.6 and No.7 respectively.
