Two days ago I mentioned (http://wololo.net/wagic/2011/08/10/psp-official-firmware-6-60-patches-the-6-39-kernel-exploit/) that Half Byte Loader was a good way to still run homebrews on official firmware 6.60, if you’re one of the poor souls who updated. It turns out I was wrong, as HBL, for now, doesn’t run on Firmware 6.60, due to some tricky changes in the PSP firmware. JJS found a workaround however and published a Debug version of HBL (http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8122#p92723), that runs on 6.60. Since the download also contains a patch file, it is fairly easy to compile a “release” build for those who want to, but JJS announced he still wants to add a few tweaks before we feel confident to publish a release build. In the meantime, if you are on 6.60 and definitely need to play homebrews, you can check ToBSucht’s great list (http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1879) with hundreds of signed homebrews, or you can try JJS’s debug build of Half Byte Loader (http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8122#p92723).
This is of course, until a downgrader or a Hen appear for 6.60, which should happen sooner than later http://wololo.net/wagic/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
