View Full Version : 3DS sells 215,000 in Japan following price cut

Nintendo's 3DS system sold 215,000 units in the week its price was cut in Japan, according to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain (http://www.famitsu.com/news/201108/16048556.html).
The price was cut in the region on August 11 from ¥25,000 to ¥15,000, giving the system its second highest week of sales since launch when it shifted over 371,000 units.
A separate report by Japanese paper Nikkei, states that the system sold 207,000 in the region during the week.

haha, so many conflicting minds, but the numbers show all.I see articles every day saying "is ninty dead", "have ninty finally lost it", then we see this and "10% share rise", "ninty predicted to have %40 share rise", etc.Nintendo know what they are doing... which is making money, as much as they possibly can.

That's all any company is doing these days, and ALL (even Nintendo) are neglecting that the reason "us people" buy these things is for the content on them. Short-term, people will buy whatever has buzz and specs, but long-term it's always about CONTENT. It's still possible the world will wake up and have just enough time to clean up the mess before mom and dad get home.
