Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPBEEB the BBC Micro Emulator for PSP.

For those who haven't seen previous versions, BeebEm is a famous
emulator of the BBC Micro computer series running on both windows and unix.
(see http://www.mikebuk.dsl.pipex.com/beebem)

Originally developed for UNIX systems in 1994 by David Alan Gilbert, it was then
ported to windows by Richard Gellman and Mike Wyatt in 1997.

At the start of October 2005, David Eggleston started porting
the current Windows version of BeebEm (version 2.3) to FreeBSD.

*** Many thanks to Mr Nick666 for the beautiful icons and background images ***

What's new in version 1.0.6 :

- Icons and background images designed by Mr Nick666
- Emulator menus reorganisation (new menu for settings)
- New feature to save and load a distinct setting file for each games
- Delete files option (in the file selector)
- Add keyboard change skin option
- The percent of battery left is now displayed in the emulator window
- Add a watchdog to automatically return to the emulator menu
- when the battery is very low (< 5%)
(you can add your own virtual keyboard images in the graphics directory).
- Bug fix and code cleaning

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under "Beebem" licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Enjoy, :)

Zx.

You've made me one happy chappy ZX :)
Bloody brilliant emu, now better than ever.

The individual game settings is really good for having differnent zoom settings for each game, seeings how the display area of the screen in games never seemed to stay the same size or even position on the beeb.

I'm sure ive said it before, but your work is VERY much appreciated. It seems you wont be happy till you bring every psp owner's fond memories of their first system back to life in portable form :D

The new backgrond image/icon look great Mr Nick666, very nice work :)

Mr.Denny: PM me if you have any questions you cant work out, the included readme is very thorough however so you shouldnt have any probs.

I attached a rar of 25 or so game keyboard config files if its of any use to someone.

Speaking of KB mapping, heres a screenie of the BBC model B's keybord from Beebem for windows.

Helps me find which chars are on which keys, as binding the symbol accessed through shift+key on the beeb as a button often causes shift to be triggered also. In citadel my up and down maps (* and ?) were also triggering fire etc.

Of course you can use it, its just for a few of my favourite beeb games whose names stood out from the list.

I'm slowly going through a huge list of disc images ive got on pc looking for some of the more obscure games I used to play, I'll update the attachment once i have a fair few more.

Thanks again for the update mate :)

EDIT: Front page link is out of date, latest version 1.0.7 Here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=37009). :D
