Cubic VR engine

hey, i just found this rather impressive port of a simple 3d engine showing lighting and a physics engine and wanted to guage what you think, the framerate is supriseingly high and the textures are very clear, im still looking around at info on this but if anyone can shed some light on its limitations then please do tell
if this subject is old history then please excuse my ignorance,
