here is a port idea from the forum off of ps2dev.org

Porting the Daphne, which is a LaserDisc emulator.

Games like Dragon Lair, Dragon Lair 2 and such can be played on this emulator.

from what i see, its written in c++ with SDL, SDL_mixer, Ogg Vorbis, and Zlib, all of which has been ported ot the PSP, why not right?

The PC version needs fairly hefty hardware to run and the mpegs would need re-encoding. Plus the games aren't *THAT* great even though we all love em.

Ufff...I had thought about this a while back..and I remember thinking to myself....that'll be a bitch to port...Waaayy to many cycles. But who knows? I'd be amazed if it's done.

The required MPEG sets for some of those games are massive in file size, i am not too sure that you would be able to fit them on a mem stick, or you would have to have one like 4 gig and up. I love Daphne don't get me wrong, I would like to play Cobra Command on the PSP but am not holding my breath for the relase.

Like how are you gonna fit those big laser discs in the UMD drive?
