View Full Version : GenesisPlusDC RomLister v1.0 by Smurph Released!

Smurph (http://smurph.ath.cx:81/pages/dcedl.html) has updated his great tool to automate the process of creating a ROM List for the latest release of GenesisPlusDC (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,32,338). Features:


Copies and renames rom zipfiles from one location to another, and creates a romlist according to the filenames of the zips. Optionally, it strips goodcodes.

Romlister has also been added to the GenesisPlusDC (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,32,338) download


Changes in v1.0:

- Added Better Progress Bar
- Rewrote the entire program in VB6

This version has no external dependencies other than the VB6 runtimes.

NOTE: If your antivirus goes off, get a better antivirus, as it is a false reading. I simply packed the executable to reduce file size.


The DCS Wiki article (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/GenesisPlusDC) about GenesisPlusDC has already been updated with the new version.

Uh-oh. Seems I found a rather crippling bug that I somehow missed in testing. Crap, Sorry guys. Simple fix though.

EDIT: Nevermind? Must be something with the config.

EDIT2: Okay, found it. I aplologize whole-heartedly for this screw-up.

In any case, it's fixed now. I obviously didn't test it thoroughly enough. basically, the bug was that it would crash when it tried to delete zipfiles that didn't exist from the data\roms dir during pre-processing.

It's fixed now, please re-download from my site.

I realize this is old but All the links are broken for this file, I can't find it anywhere.
