Archeide (http://snemul.free.fr/ds/) has posted a new release of SNEmulDS!
SNEmulDS 0.2 changes are :

- Support for ROMs bigger than 2 Mo (size of ROM is not limited)
- Speed improvement (+30-40%)
- Load / Save states (*). You can save up to 8 states by game. Games are stored in SNEmul file format (SML) in the SNES directory, along with the SNES ROM.
- Fixed most scrolling bugs
- Load / Save SNES SRAM (*). SRAM is read from a "XXXX.SRM" file put in the SNES directory, along with the SNES ROM. SRAM has to be saved manually using the "Save SRAM" option in the main menu.
- New "No Vblank" mode which is by default enabled. This mode allow much faster emulation speed, and can fix some graphical problems, but can also bring other issues.
- Fixed initial crashes due to "strange" filenames in SNES directory.
- Fixed many other bugs, improved memory consumption.
(*) Saving is experimental due to the limitations of the FAT libraries.

Like the initial release (0.1), ROMs are loaded from the SNES directory in your card.

Looks impressive! And Secret of Mana works nice, besides the world map on Flammie. Though, it should be fixed in the future.

[kasimir2007] you just have to put snemulds0.2.nds on the root directory and create a "SNES" folder and put all your roms here :) it s works well and even the strongest games (chrono trigger, FF6, secret of mana2) are launching !! amazing job :)

Someone needs to make this work on Max Media Dock.
The only homebrew game i can really play is DSDoom, but i would like more. And DSDoom proves that homebrew games CAN work on MMD. People just have to make it compatable.

Face it, the devs code for real flashcarts. The MMD is a hunk of junk.

Bonic could probably do it. He fixed PicoDrive for the MMD, so I can't see why he can't fix this aswell.

In the folder SNES :

remove all special characters from the name like () - , and such.

Sweet! I still think that this emulator is the best and will forever be cause its a lot easier to use plus its smaller with the ability to just use the emu in one nds file insted of with every rom file.

What is the SNES Directory?

kcajblue
October 2nd, 2006, 05:05
the SNES directory is a folder that goes on the root of the card and contains the .smc files.

This works on the MMD.
castlevania4, super rtype, gradius3 work at an ok speed.
Games that didn't work or had glitches were super mario all stars, FF2, FF3, super punch out, super metroid.

The MMX 2 and 3 games have a special chip that is currently unemulated. That chip is known as the C4 chip. It may be supported by Snezzi in the future, though. Snemul maybe as well.

I think of it this way:

All of the other devices are PC's they are very compatable with everything. The MMD is like..i dunno OS-X or Linux (not stability wise, purly compatability wise) all someone needs to do is program it to work with it.

No, the MMD is more like Windows CE 1.0.
Promised a lot and delivered very little.

I'm not sure if anyone posted this, but I can run Chrono Trigger if I use a srm file from my PC. Otherwise it just crashes when your mom wakes you up.
