Someone is making a Homebrew web browser for the DS.
I have no idea who it is though.
Here's the Website (It's in Spanish):

Spanish Website (http://okiwi.blogspot.com/)

English Translated Website By Google (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://okiwi.blogspot.com/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=5&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dokiwi%2Bweb%2Bbrowser%26hl%3Den%26hs% 3DBZP%26lr%3D%26client%3Dopera%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DG )

Wow, how lucky you are! The site now contains a translation of every new post the author publishes :P Keep an eye on the project. We need a real browser!

Do you think of an application that is able to browse the web and save/open/preview the downloaded files? As the MoonShell does?

Yessss!

The official browser is fine for me except it cant go on my m3 which sucks, but the only visible improvment imo (other then faster ofcourse) is flash enabled!

Joel92
October 8th, 2006, 17:07
yea, is this thing flash enabled? if it isnt, i would say just contact the maker of DSflash or SWF player for ds and try to impliment that into the browser.

I personally think this supposed browser for the ds is bunk. I mean, 3 pages of comments and not 1 demo to play around with. Come on.

It wont work for me. All it does is stay on a black screen for hours

Dragynrain

Tested on M3 CF (firmware E32)

NDS file = dual black screens
DS.GBA file = dual black screens
NDS file DLDI patched for M3CF = top screen red, bottom screen black

Tried placing all files in root of card (with fonts directory in root) and also placing files and fonts directory in an Okiwi subdirectory (same results with files in either location).

Anyone had any luck getting the new alpha release to work?

There is really no point cause the browser does not connect to anything.

Dragynrain, the program is DLDI.

The M3 CF has a false DLDI file.

Until (IF) it's fixed, anything with DLDI won't work or won't save.

Quick fix- Buy a Max Media Dock for DS programs. 20 bucks offa their website. I'm buying one because my M3 is teh broken.

A "false" DLDI file?

I've gotten other things like DSOrganize to run fine that required DLDI on my M3 CF (including write/save support)

Can you explain what you mean by a "false" file?

kind of an old topic huh? :)

Try DLDI Drop for mac
http://www.blogadresse.de/2007/01/29/dldi-drop-dldi-patcher-the-mac-way/

Anyway I would use bunjalloo .63 and the DSOrganize browser. Definitely try Okiwi but IMO the others are better and bunjalloo is still being updated.Bunjallo also has an unzip feature when downloading a file.
