PSP E1000 Hack/mod

Hi to all,

I'm really new to psp hacks/modding and I'm very sorry if this has been asked but I've looked for days now and can't seem to find anything.

I'm wanting to buy the NEW (cheap) psp E1000 (to be clear, NOT the psp 1000) for my kids for Christmas but would like to know if it can be modded to play backup games? I don't know what version they would be but I would be buying from within Australia, if that helps...

If there is anyone that can tell me how to mod it or can post a link that has good instructions on how to do so I would be a very happy mum.

As far as i know it can take all signed Homebrew and exploits but for God's sake don't buy it. It has no Wifi so multiplayer is impossible and has a crappy mono speaker and all the components low grade to save money, so if you can afford it spend a bit more on Psp 3000s or spend the same on used Psp because it's better in every way.
