If you think Microsoft should have all the SDK fun, just cause the company created the Kinect? Well, Evoluce clearly disagrees. The company behind Win & I (http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/04/evoluce-releases-kinect-based-win-and-i-gesture-interface-for-wi/) and the Evoluce ONE (http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/17/evoluce-one-gives-you-47-inches-of-multitouch-surface-to-play-wi/) 47-inch multitouch PC is offering devs its own tools for creating apps and interfaces that take advantage of the Kinect on Windows 7. The SDK is a free download, but it plans to release a commercial version (http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/01/kinect-commercial-sdk-coming-in-2012-video/) sometime in the future -- taking the battle straight to the boys in Redmond.
