Scarface: Money. Power. Respect is a unique game designed specifically for the PSP system that combines turn-based strategy gameplay with real-time combat. It allow gamers to relive Tony Montana's epic rise to power in the drug-fueled world of 1983 Miami. The game thrusts players into a deep and engaging strategy game as Tony Montana, where the goal is to battle and defeat competing drug cartels and conquer Miami turf-by-turf, eventually becoming the one-and-only Kingpin of the city. Featuring both single- and multi-player modes, Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. will challenge players to make critical strategic decisions to rise from humble beginnings to directing an army of henchmen and hired gunmen through detailed scenarios of conquest and domination. In the story-based single-player mode, gamers complete a series of missions based on scenes from the original movie to conquer "turfs" in Miami. Players need to direct large-scale citywide strategic commands to complete their conquest as well as direct street-level real-time combat. The game challenges gamers to handle larger territory, additional adversaries and new profit-making opportunities through increased drug trafficking. The wireless multi-player mode pits up-to-four gamers playing as criminal cartels in a race to make money and conquer turf. The multi-player battle begins with a "Land Grab," where each cartel lays claim to their share of Miami.

I've got this and its pretty cool. Its not a beat em up type of game. Its more strategy. You get plenty of actual movie scenes to tie in to the story and unlock.

You can build store houses for excess "drugs", hire pushers, thugs, etc. to give your outfit added "muscle". You can form alliances with other cartels.

Like I said, its mostly strategy. This game seems like it would be more fun playing multiplayer against a friend. I have not gotten too far into the game yet but it definitely puts a new spin on Scarface and is probably worth it for any fan.

Did they re-hire Al Pacino for the voice narrative/tutorials?

It sounds more like Al Pacino's current voice, deeper & more raspy. It could just be someone immitating him though.

This game is easily one of the worst game for PSP in 2006. It's games like this that will make the PSP flop. They could've just called this game Cartels, Drug Lords, Dealers...etc... and it would've made more money by not using the name Scarface.

If you've seen the movie, you've seen this game. There 's nothing new to scarface in this game than the movie. Unlike the PC version, in which you really explore the "what if he didn't die" scene.

The gameplay becomes repetitive really quick. Just build drug labs, hire thugs and dealer, sell and kill and all over again... By doing so, you unlock movie scenes, which I'm pretty sure you've all seen allready.

If you're interested in a strategic game with a Scarface gangster theme, go for The Godfather for the PSP. It has the turn-based strategic mode plus action mode. Way better than Scarface for PSP.

Yeah the game is horrible, I bought it because it says the same description for the psp version as the ps2 version at gamestop, when I played it it was a joke, i then went and returned it, but only for a stupid giftcard, but thats ok i bought syphon filter instead and love it.
