View Full Version : Installing TIFF homebrew on 2.6

How do I install homebrew through the TIFF exploit on firmware 2.6? When I download supposedly 2.6 TIFF compatible homebrew it contains folders named, for example:

1.0
1.5
PSPchess
PSPchess%

I have no clue which folders to drag into PSP/GAME. Most homebrew I've downloaded doesn't come with README files, and even the ones that do usually don't give great directions. I've managed to install a few things after a ton of trial and error, but they work with eLoader .98 and not .99. What's the reason for this? Am I doing something wrong? I can't find any FAQs that explain TIFF installation - they all talk about the GTA exploit. What exactly does devhook do? Should I use it or would that just be a hassle?

As you can see, I'm pretty new to the homebrew scene (I've been waiting around for 10 months for homebrew on 2.6).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

just copy all in the 1.0 folder to psp/game/____
the eboot needs to be at the main part like
psp/game/pspchess/eboot.pbp
it cant be newhere else or eloader wont run it.
not all homebrew works either.

i like noiz2sa :)

devhook is a firmware emulator.
with homebrew enabler Rev. C on 2.71 you can run devhook to emulate 1.5 with full homebrew capabilities. i dont think it works on 2.6 and i wouldnt try it because it might brick.
if i were you, id update to 2.71, install HEN rev.C, and get devhook for 2.71.

PS- devhook for 2.71 only works with HEN rev.C
