2 firmwares

can someone explain to me how i can get two firwares without a modd chip? i seen it done before. right now i have 2.71 fw how do i get 1.5 so i can play emulators and also have a browser

first make sure you don't have a ta-082!
Right now devhooking 2.71 is the safest way.
If you do have a ta-082 you can devhook 1.5 for full compatibility.

Do you have a ta-082 motherboard?
That is critical to know.

i dont think so mine is black and i dont see any letters when i open it.

Do a google search on how to identify one (pics might be necessary for you).
I personally do not have one so my experience with them is limited.
1003 will be printed on a tiny piece of visible motherboard inside the UMD drive.

Good news to hear did you downgrade from 2.71 if you did its best to get a clean firmware just downgrade to 1.0 the update to 1.5 for a clean firmware

ok i did just go from 2.71 to 1.5. your saying to downgrade again to 1.0 and than to 1.5?? may i ask y?

For a clean firmware because when you downgarde there may be errors caused as of the downgrade you dont have to but this gets rid of the errors

I downgraded from 2.6 then i used the easy downgrader to downgrade to 1.0 then i updated to 1.5

ok i got the eboot file right? where do i do it im in the middle of downgrading to 1.00

when i dl the first file it came with the upgrade it back to 1.5 right now i have 1.0 what should i do

Download the 1.50 eboot put it in the update folder like this Psp--------game------update-----1.50 Eboot

Then run the eboot from the game menu

ok right now i have 1.5 which you said to do so i get errors fixed. now im gonna find devhook and learn how to use that so i can get 2.71 and run downloaded games right? but first i would like to know how to install all these emulators and games and stuff. does anyone have any recomended sites to dl games?
