I have a v2.6fw TA-082 psp. I heard if i update my
psp to 2.71FW i can use 1.5 File Dump and 2.71 to
1.5 devloader: emulates 1.5 FW. i'll be able play all
1.5fw homebrew on it? is it true and is it worth it?
Or should i wait for a 2.6fw TA-082 downdgrader?

I'm confuse i don't want to try something if it don't work here's the info i found

dark alex has released a update flasher not too long ago and with it, theoratically speaking, after u update to use HEN C u shud be able to downgrade back to 2.6 with that update flasher. Not too sure if it'll brick though. Technically speaking, downgrading to anything below 2.5 is dangerous for ta-082.

2.6 ta-082 downgrader? i dun see it coming yet at the moment

my opinion would be to upgrade and use HEN C to use reverse devhook since the eloader 099 supports up to 2.71 so it's something slong the line of the best of both worlds.

yea dont downgrade below 2.5 on a TA-082 motherboard. That could most likely lead to a bricking. other people have attempted this, so far i have seen no successful results

Nething Below 2.5 Is Suicidal, Sony Have Blocked The 1.5 Files From Bein Run On A TA-082 Board, Thats Why There Is No Success!!

the 2.71 reverse devhook is your best bet as there is little risk of bricking .

I unfortunately also have the 2.50 .. ta-082, I think it is.

Is there any hope for me playing home brew or no?

What exactly is this update and devhook, can someone walk me through that? Step by step?

*EDIT* Sorry, found your tutorial, reading it now, hopefully that'll answer all my questions.

you upgrade to 2.7 on your TA-082 and use Reverse devhook to emulate 1.5. You have homebrew support.

Okay, I'd PM, but for some reason, the forums won't let me.

So, with my 2.50 (IC1003) TA-082, I upgrade to firmware 2.71? (http://dl.qj.net/Firmware-2.71-PSP/pg/12/fid/8046/catid/163) Then I use Dark_Alex's Reverse Devhook? Voila?

Sorry for asking to clarify, but I'm just being careful, don't want to brick because I mistranslated a step or something.:D
