Not only is the content similar -- by which we mean it's a bunch of puzzles -- Layton games frequently have their own Flash demos (http://professorlayton.nintendo.com/thelastspecter/puzzle-demos/#/cat-maze).
The main difference we see here is that you'll get progressively simpler puzzles of the same type whenever you fail. We don't understand Minesweeper, OK? It's really embarrassing.
