It's official: PlayStation Vita will launch in the UK with at least 12 first-party games (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/327059/vita-eu-launch-line-up-confirmed/) at a cost of £229 (£279 for the 3G model), which makes Sony's flashy handheld more expensive than a PlayStation 3. Will you be buying one?

I will not be getting a Vita until they fix the same mistake they made with the launch PSP.My only 2 requirements for a modern portable are dual analog controls, and an HDMI out for big screen viewing. The original launch PSP had neither of these, but fixed the no TV out issue a few years after launch, however, they never fixed the no dual analog control issue,so I never got an original PSP.The Vita has dual analog controls, but no TV out.I guess Sony just doesnt want my money.Oh yeah,I would rather NOT have a touchpad or cameras on my system, too bad they didnt switch those out for a HDMI port.Just my 23000 cents.(which Sony will not be getting.)

It doesn't matter how many processor cores, how much memory and any other technology they stick in there because when it comes down to it it's still just a handheld console, and apart from the touch screen/panel there's nothing that makes it look like anything more than a Psp with 6 years newer technology, and i honestly believe the day it gets hacked Sony will again have no answer or effort and will fall down the crapper just like the Psp did, and at least Nintendo very quickly realised their mistake with the ridiculous 3DS pricing and dropped it at the level it should be, but Sony being Sony they'll keep the price way too high for years.
