Sega has ported the first Sonic game on Game Boy Advance over to Android.
Sonic Advance has just released on the Android Market (https://market.android.com/details?id=jp.co.sega.sonicadvance.monthly.sum) in Japan for 415 Yen (about £3.50/$5.30) in all its colourful glory.
GBA-owning Sonic fans will remember Sonic Adventure as a breath of fresh air (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/27077/reviews/sonic-adventure-review/) during the early years of the mascot's seeming downturn since his crossover to 3D in 1999.
It was one of the first games since his 3D debut in which Sega revisited his old-school 2D mechanics and reminded us why we all loved him in the first place.
There's currently no word on an Android release outside of Japan, but we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for its arrival soon.
