News from the Goat Store (http://www.goatstore.com/news.php?article_id=45)

In 2000, when the GOAT Store was being founded, one of the first unique products that was created was the JAMMA Joystick line up. Featured were joysticks for the Atari 2600 and Jaguar systems which used real arcade joysticks and buttons to give players the best arcade control experience ever for home consoles!

While the original line of joysticks was very popular, as the GOAT Store grew, the joystick line up ended up having to be stopped due to the fact that creating these joysticks takes hours and hours of time, time that the founders of the GOAT Store didn't have as they increased inventory, started GOAT Store Publishing and hosted gaming events.

There is some great news for big time gamers who love the feel of arcades because the JAMMA Joystick line up is being relaunched with new models for many different systems! The new JAMMA Joystick line up is being handled by video game veteran Chris "Kamino" Kamin, who has created and made multiple joysticks for his own use as well as done countless system console hacks to upgrade and improve the performance of his classic gaming systems.

"I love making joysticks that the hardcore gamer will love!" stated Chris. "My favorite games tend to be shmups, and if you know those types of games, you know that you need a great joystick for them. Most of the joysticks that have been released for the mass market are made with cheap parts and feel horrible. I wanted to have an option for the market who will only settle for something that equals the feel of the arcade."

JAMMA Joysticks are built using high quality parts which are manufactured for use in arcade machines using the JAMMA standard. The new JAMMA Joystick line up will feature joysticks for the following systems at launch: Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar, Nintendo NES, Nintendo SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Turbografx-16 and even the Vectrex. While the official launch of the joystick line is October 15th, the GOAT Store and Chris Kamin have already opened 'pre-orders' for most of the models. On October 15th, when they officially launch, the site will have extensive information on them and how you can become the owner of one of the outstanding JAMMA Joysticks that Chris will be creating.
