That's for the 12-month period ending October 31. Compare that with overall game sales, which rose 3%.

Of course, at the end of October last year, Just Dance 2 had only started selling (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/17/october-npd-nba-2k11-tops-charts-xbox-360-best-selling-consol/). Since then, it's been doing very well (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/11/just-dance-2-just-broke-5-million-copies-sold-in-the-us/) for itself, and has been followed by several spinoffs, including Just Dance Kids (http://joystiq.com/game/just-dance-kids) (and its sequel (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/22/just-dance-kids-2-shakes-it-all-about-this-october/)!), Michael Jackson: The Experience (http://joystiq.com/game/michael-jackson-the-experience), The Black Eyed Peas Experience (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/26/finally-ubisoft-announces-the-black-eyed-peas-experience-for-ki/), Just Dance 2 Summer Party (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/24/just-dance-2-throwing-a-summer-party-on-july-21/), and, of course, Just Dance 3 (http://joystiq.com/game/just-dance-3).

Too damn many Just Dance games can't claim all the credit for the growth in dancing-machine sales. Dance Central is at somewhere over 2.5 million units (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/18/dance-central-sales-step-up-to-2-5m-kinect-sports-kickin-it-wi/), and it's been followed by a sequel (http://joystiq.com/game/dance-central-2); Zumba Fitness (http://joystiq.com/game/zumba-fitness) has been a phenomenon, and Sony's Everybody Dance (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/11/sony-launching-new-move-bundle-ps3-with-everybody-dance/) is also available.
