Another great release for the Nintendo DS thats based on the gameplay of Amplitude for the PlayStation 2., heres what Dark Knight ez (http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/amplituds.htm)posted in this new release:

Hey all.

It's been a month since I released AmplituDS, and it's time for a huge update.

Videos:
http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/videos/amplituds_turrican.swf
http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/videos/amplituds_smb.swf

To quickly summarize the new features:
- Fixed the garbled background present on M3 and some other cards
- Multiple difficulty levels (mellow, normal, brutal and insane)
- Powerups (autoblaster, freestyle, scoredoubler)
- Support for FAT (Chishm's latest official FAT library)

What does this all mean? Well, first of all, the gameplay is now more similiar to the game I based this on. Second of all, you can now create your own stages. It takes some effort but it's definitely worth it. I will be creating new stages myself as well, and hopefully other people will get excited about this too, and help me out with making AmplituDS more diverse.

You can find all information on the website. Make sure to also read the online readme linked to, because it contains information on how to set AmplituDS up and how to use the newly available powerups and such.

Hope you all like it. :)

Greets.

Sweet, downloading it now

:Edit:

Nice update, but exactly how do you make your own stages?

Which passkey system is compatible with my GBA flash card?

I have a EZF advance 256 meg. Which is the same found at this link http://chinatoysco.com/search.php?page=argbx

Is a passcard3 compatible with Nintendo DS / DS homebrew?

Also what is a reliable website to buy my passkey type card with shipping to Canada?

thanks guys for any advice.

you are my hero. BEST homebrew out there. My only wish is that multiple songs can be selected from the same progrm. Last time i got this you had to load a seperate version for each song...

First of all, setup the game as mentioned in the online readme:
http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/amplituds-readme.htm

SuperCard SD users should use the FAT version which saves to SRAM.

According to another SuperCard SD user, you also might want to try starting up the game with a passkey or something similiar if AmplituDS will not start up properly without one.
Or you could try prepending a loader, check the posts on gbadev:

I appologize for the apparently specific ways needed to get AmplituDS up and running.

For the people who have been playing this new version of AmplituDS though, please let me know what you think of this version. Do you like the new features? What highscores are you all getting? Are you thinking of creating your own stage?

*cunningly tries to divert discussion to more fun subjects :p*

does this work on mmd? i'm trying the fat 'write' version, with a CF on the mmd.

the rom runs, the logo loads and then it just blinks loading music and nothing happens..

Oh dang, when I try to DLDI patch it to work with R4DS it says it has no DLDI section. I hate it when that happens... nevermind

What's wrong with posting if he's got a relevant question? Seriously, just because an application is old doesn't mean that nobody can ask questions about it.

In any case, this was made before DLDI was created. Perhaps it's been updated with DLDI, or if not you can try contacting the author to see if he'd consider adding it in.
