Rockstar's classic open-world game Grand Theft Auto III is now available on iOS and Android devices.
The anniversary edition of the game celebrates ten years since it was originally released on PS2 in 2001, and costs £2.99 ($4.99).
Rockstar promises optimised controls for touch-screen play, and has included two thoughtful - and much needed - additions: mission retry and autosave mode.
Despite the initial announcement (http://www.next-gen.biz/news/rockstar-gta-iii-coming-single-core-ios-devices-future) stating that the game would only be available to 4S and iPad 2 owners at first, Grand Theft Auto IIIhas launched with support for iPhone 4, 4S, 4th generation iPod touches and iPad 1 and 2.
Android users can play the game on a long list of devices which includes HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R and T-Mobile G2x.
