Surely this is going to be so much better than LCS, which was great just the missions were too short, cant wait!

i think that it will only require 2.71, unless there is a game that already requires 2.8 or 2.81, but there is nothing saying that this will be the first game to require 2.8+. but if it does than i wont buy it cause i reguse to upgrade to 2.8

sweet im buying it too!!! But I don't think ill be able to play it on my 1.5 because there hasn't been any new version of devhook in a while

yeah... there are somegames tht have a 2.81 upgrade file but dont actually need you to upgrade... and we can just make our own isos and change the prx files if it comes to the worst

I know that we all have our own thoughts on the firmware, but I was wondering if there was an official notice. Probably not until the game is officially released.

If history has anything to do with it, most likely this will be unplayable unless you upgrade.

care to back that statement up with any evidence? or is it just idle forum-talk?

no one knows until the game is in someone's hands. which it still isnt. i'm not saying its gonna be either/or, but such speculation goes nowhere fast.

Guys its sony...this is also GTA! 11/10 people with a psp will buy this game... so I think it will be 2.81 or higher!!!

GTA is the number one game on the psp so sony will use it to stop homebrew. They will make you pick between the two =(
Good thing i got 2 psp's =P

but if we are strong we can not upgrade and not buy gta and therfore throught there own misunderstanding of us the great public and our love of homebrew homebrew and there stupidity of not making gta playable on 2.71 will hurt there bank book, i think rockstar suport homebrew and might put another exploit in;)

It'll just make me wait untill I can have both. I want the game, but I don't need to have it the day it comes out.

Also, no single game (nor the collective PS1 library) will make me want to abandon the other things I do with the PSP.

I'll just hold on to my measly 40 bucks for a while.

Yer, We will NOT be able to Devhook this game yet.
Who needs evidence? Any fool would know that Sony are not going to screw up their only real money maker, when they can easily make it need the latest firmware.
It's just common sense. I'd do it, if I was Sony :P hah

ah well, there will be ways to make the backuped iso 2.71 compatible.
;) dont worry, we shall be playing VCS within a few days of release :D
