It's a story as old as, well, 8-bit video gaming itself: man creates robots, 99 percent go rogue, the other 1 percent valiantly fights back and future world order is (temporarily) restored. Sound familiar? It should if you've logged any time with Mega Man X (http://www.engadget.com/tag/megaman/), Capcom's (http://www.engadget.com/tag/capcom/) mega-popular series from console gaming's halcyon days. That SNES (http://www.engadget.com/tag/snes/) classic has just been ported over to iOS and is now available on the App Store for your thumb-smashing amusement. At $5 it's certainly cheaper than that other recent 16-bit retread (http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/10/chrono-trigger-hits-the-app-store-lets-square-enix-fans-turn-ba/), though nowhere near as awesomely epic.
