hi all

I have just found out that the new ridge racer 2 demo is out now, it was released today and works on firmwares 2.81 and above when they come out!

I have downloaded this demo and have to say that it is one of the best demos out so far!

The sequel to the PSP's first entry in Namco's phenomenal racing series, Ridge Racers 2 adds a number of new modes to the original. In addition to the World Tours, Time Attack and Wireless Battle (still with 8 player ad-hoc support) from the original, you can now take part in Arcade, Duel and Survival modes. The sequel is also packed with cars and tracks, including the highest number of courses yet seen in a Ridge Racer game -- 18 courses from previous games spanning from Ridge Racer to R4: Ridge Racer Type 4. The game promises six machine classes, each with three cars to begin with, as well as a number of secret cars and special classes.

Got the full game.not a vast leap over the 1st tbh mostly tracks from ridge racer type 4.

Only for 2.8x? Sony can shove it up their... :D
After originally upgrading from 1.50 up to 2.6(silly me), and back down to 1.5(yayy!), NO Sony carrot will tempt me away from my homebrew. :D

apparently you can play these new demos in devhook
but putting the settings to 2.XX-2.00

How do you get this to work on a 1.50? I have DevHook and couldn't figure it out... (b/c you can't launch EBOOTS).

this works on 2.80. you have to edit it in a hex editor. just change the 2.81 that you see in the hex editor into a 2.80. You will only have to change one.

Use the Japanese one (full version) instead. It works on my 2.71

The demo does not work on 3.03 OE-A :(
It does the white 'PSP bling' screen, the screen goes black, there is some loading and then my PSP shuts down.
FYI I got the demo from the .nl yourpsp site.
I will check with 3.03 OE-A' later to see if it makes any difference.

EDIT: 3.03 OE-A` gives the same result :(

EDIT2: It works! Silly me, I had to set GAME FOLDER HOMEBREW to 3.03 kernel in the 'hold R at power on'-menu ;)
