-- Credits to Exophase for releasing such a fine emulator that I have merely ported it to run on the dreamcast using the included C core, does not use dynarec like the psp version.

please check the other readmes.

included is a scrambled binary, game_config.txt. requires a gba bios named gba_bios.bin(you can dump it yourself, see http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/GBA_BIOS)
place your gba roms on the root of the cd and burn everything to cdr, in what ever method you need to make a bootable cd.

Download here (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,31,487)

Enjoy,

PS: thanks to Ron of dciberia for his alpha testing and arranging it with others for testing.

has support for zipped roms?

GPF

I think there is support, but I haven't tested it so not sure if there was anything specific in the code I need to change for it to work on the dreamcast.

I played Hearts on the Ultimate Card Game. It started painfully slow but it worked. The gameplay was better, and I shot the moon two times in a row before I quit! :) I will have to try some of the games on the game config list. Thanks GPF for your hard work!

Maybe you have to do great efforts to optimize it for DC, and a SH4 dynamicrecompile core is needed.

@GPF: do you plan to improve the port further? Dynamic Recompiler ;)

one thing I forgot to put in the readme
When you first start the emulator if you press the start button it will take you to the secondary menu where you can select frameskip etc, and then return to the load a rom screen.

Or in game you can press the Y button which will drop down a frameskip menu press up and down to increase/decrease frameskip, or press right to return to the frameskip menu where you can return to the game, or reload a new rom.

Thats sweet. Runs full speed on psp. I think it should get close on the dreamcast.

How good is this?

Many graphic glitches?

How the game speed?

Any possibility this could be 100% some day?

I have no blank CDs at the moment or I would try it...

Does anyone know how the saving works?
Because I've been playing Fire Emblem on the PSP version of gpSP, and I was wondering if there's a way to transfer my .sav files over to the dreamcast VMU somehow?

good question, you gpf will have to answer that

(btw you would use VMU tool (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,67,174) to transfer a file to your vmu)

I haven't enabled vmu saves yet. How big are the sav files ?

Umm they're around 32kb each.
If saving were to be implemented, would the save file on the VMU still remain in the same '.sav' format just like on the PSP and PC?

tnx for the tip BudFern... anyways, I just burned the emu for test pruposes... i'll only make a final selfboot CD with roms once the emu runs full-speed emulation. :-P

* waiting for the next version... :-D *

Hello troy, you did an awesome work to port this emu, keep the good work!!!.
I am testing GPspDC in the forum of Dciberia, there are many games working at 80-85% speed, like Pokemon Zaphire, Dragon Ball Z: Buu´s Fury, Warioland 4, Advance Rally, Simpsons Road an many others.
But this emu have an important bug, when I want to change a game, I pick one, and then the emu freezes, and I have to turn off the DC to prove other game.
Greetings man.

One more thing, excuse my english , I`m from Argentina.

Does it freeze when you try to access the menu while playing a game?? It kinda sounds like a bug with the PSP 2.71 firmware version of the emulator, the 1.5 firmware version works fine.
