Just a quick update for you folks out there in emuland ;)

I've been working on the wifi multiplayer in MVSPSP 1.0 (Neogeo Emulator by NJ) and have made some excellent progress.

The game now syncs up every time (previous approximately 1 out of 4 times would fail)

I've tested it on puzzle bobble and it works lovely in two player vs mode. I made a video to upload to youtube, but I thought no, I can do better than that. So.. I made a video of Metal Slug 1 two player instead!

My apologies for the video quality, my phone is crap and the focus is terrible.

Anyways.. enjoy... ;)

Really REALLY exciting stuff. Ad Hoc Wifi makes homebrew emulation on the PSP 10x better.

Thanks for this and keep up the great work.

Full Speed With Sound ? That would be nice. Keep up the good work can't wait for the release. :D

I wonder if you can import the wifi multiplayer functions on the CPS1 and CPS2 Neogeo CDZ that would be wicked.

Understandable

Thanks for all the positive comments people.

A few answers:

have u tried w/ snk vs capcom or kof2k3 yet?

No, sorry I dont have that game.

are u gunna enable lan too? or is that a whole other story?

That's a totally different ball game altogether, although it should work with only minor changes.

Lots of people are asking about a release date. I've no release date planned, I don't have a timescale as to when I might release it.

I will be looking at making cps1 and cps2 multiplayer over wifi, and cleaning up the interface before any release is made. I may do a private beta test before a major release.

I need to test this in user mode at 300mhz, as currently it is running in kernel mode at 333.

There is a slight bug in the currenty build that means the game loses a frame and goes out of sync eventually, this is most noticable on puzzle bobble as the ball colours go out of sync for each player, making the game unplayable... I'll do some research ;)

NICE! I've always wanted two-man Metal Slug multiplayer on the PSP! Could you do the same thing with NJ's CPS1/CPS2 emulators, or no?
