Konami is to officially unveil Dance Dance Revolution Classroom Edition, which allows 48 dance mats to be connected to a single PC, later this month.
The game will be shown for the first time at the California Association For Health, Physical Education, Recreation And Dance (CAHPERD (http://www.cahperd.org/)) State Conference in Pasadena.
Konami has been using DDR in classrooms in a bid to combat child obesity - the proportion of overweight US children has tripled in the last 30 years - since 2006 (http://http//www.edge-online.com/features/dance-dances-real-revolution). Last July, the publisher hosted a state-wide tournament at the West Virginia Childhood Obesity Summit.
