Bethesda's long-awaited patches for the console releases of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (http://www.edge-online.com/filter/all/tags/1060) have been released.
The updates fix a host of quest-specific issues (http://www.edge-online.com/news/bethesda-details-skyrim-patch-14), and address thePS3 version's crippling framerate problems (http://www.edge-online.com/news/report-save-files-behind-problems-ps3-skyrim). PS3 owners are advised to create a manual save and restart their consoles, and Bethesda warns that users may experience "strange in-game behaviour" which it explains is "a normal function of the script backlog temporarily correcting itself."
It appears most issues have been fixed, though there are still some quest-specific complaints on Bethesda's forums (http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/182-playstation-3/), with a few PS3 players claiming framerate lag persists despite the patch.
