It's been five long, interesting, industry-changing years since the world's most pervasive PC operating system underwent its last revision, but the time is at long last upon us. Vista (and Office 2007), as we understand it, will be launched officially (really) November 30th to corporate customers, while consumers will be able to get theirs going January 30th, 2007. Stay tuned as the bugs keep a gettin' squished over Redmond way, and we count down to what will probably be the biggest software launch since XP.

So maybe the "longwait" is finally over ;) I wonder how quickly the anti piracy features will be cracked?

Hell, I was wondering when Windows Vista and Office 2007 will be coming out. I'll be getting it when it hits those stores!

Linux can already do everything vista can do and it's free.
Not to mention it has much lighter hardware requirements than vista

The fact that i wont be doing what I usually do (blowing hundreds of dollars on a OS) makes me smile. Linux and rarely XP is all that I need.

Amen to that!
Unix builds just make more sense
Besides if you want a 3D desktop that's been around on linux for a bit now....
